THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT UNDERSTANDING THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TRUCK DRIVER,WITHOUT TRUCKERS YOU WOULD NOT HAVE THE CONVENIENCE OF GROCERY STORES,GASOLINE,YOUR CLOTHES,YOUR CAR,THE ROADS,YOU NAME IT AND IT'S PROBALLY BEEN ON A TRUCK,EVEN IF IT'S BEEN ON A JET,OR A SHIP,EVEN RAIL,IT ALWAYS ENDS UP ON A TRUCK.
       ALOT OF PEOPLE DO NOT REALIZE THE JOB OF AN OVER THE ROAD TRUCKER, UNLIKE MOST JOBS AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU GO HOME AND RELAX, BUT AN O.T.R. DRIVER IS ON THE JOB 24/7
AND DOES NOT GET TO GO HOME AND IS IN A STRANGE PLACE .
ON TOP OF ALL THIS, IS CONSTANTLY OVER-REGULATED IN EVERY STATE, HAS TO GO THROUGH A WEIGHT STATION AND POSSIBLY A DOT CHECK. AND NOW IN ALL THE BIG CITIES THEY ARE CERTIFYING LOCAL OFFICERS AS DOT CAPABLE. SO NOW THE LOCAL DRIVERS CAN BE CHECKED RANDOMLY CAUSING CLOSE BY COUNTIES AND DEPARTMENTS TO CONSTANTLY CHECK THE SAME COMPANY OR DRIVER.THIS IS JUST PART OF THE REDICULOUS LIFE OF THE TRUCKER AND PUTTING UP WITH 4 WHEELERS WHO HAVE NO IDEA THE MILES HE HAS BEHIND HIM APPOSED TO THE MILES THEY DRIVE.LIKE I SAID THIS IS JUST PART OF IT, THE SAFEST PLACE IS TO THE LEFT LANE THROUGH THE CITIES, BUT THEY OUTLAW TRUCKS TO BE IN THE LEFT LANE,SO THIS CAUSES MORE CONGESTION BECAUSE OF 4 WHEELERS SWITCHING LANES IN FRONT OF THEM, AND ENTERING THE FREEWAY CAUSES THE TRUCK TO LOSE ITS SPEED, IT TAKES SOME TIME TO REGAIN AFTER ITS CUT BACK BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT.SO I SAY IF CITIES REALLY CARED, INSTEAD OF HAVING H.O.V. LANES, IT WOULD MAKE LEFT LANES FOR COMMERCIAL CITY BYPASS ONLY LANES, THIS WOULD SOLVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH MIXING CARS WITH LARGE TRUCKS.
TO ADD TO THIS ABOUT THE LOGBOOK, MOST OF THE TIME IT MAKES YOU SLEEP WHEN YOU ARE NOT SLEEPY,AND SLEEPY WHEN YOU CAN'T, AND THEY CALL THIS SAFETY, BECAUSE SIMPLY "A BOOK DOES NOT KNOW" WHEN A DRIVER IS SLEEPY.
